From 5,000 Participants to 35 Winners: Here's the Real Impact of SisBerdaya & DisBerdaya 2025

The third iteration of DANA and Ant International's initiative has empowered more than 5,000 women entrepreneurs and 100 women with disabilities small business owners to advance their businesses through digital technology

Jakarta, Indonesia – Under the theme ‘Advancing Business with Technology’, the SisBerdaya & DisBerdaya 2025 program from DANA and Ant International officially announced 35 winners from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) who successfully demonstrated how the use of technology, particularly AI, can enhance productivity, effectiveness, and the sustainability of their businesses. The award ceremony was held today at the Kempinski Hotel Jakarta as a tribute to the hard work and innovation of inspiring women from across Indonesia.

Together with Ant International, DANA is striving further to open access and opportunities for female entrepreneurs to advance in the digital age. The SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya programs are concrete implementations of this commitment, as well as strategies to bridge the digital divide among female SME entrepreneurs across Indonesia.

Participants received hybrid training with a comprehensive curriculum covering Business Model Canvas, Digital Payment & Marketing, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to support SME business operations. Through intensive and practical mentoring, they are not only introduced to technology but encouraged to master it as a tool for transformation to enhance productivity, expand markets, and build confidence as resilient and independent entrepreneurs.

“Before joining SisBerdaya, I only sold products to neighbors nearby, without knowing how to market online. During the training, I learned a lot, from digital marketing, financial record-keeping, to creating engaging content. Participants were also equipped with the basics of leveraging AI in marketing strategies. Now I can market my products through social media and marketplaces, my business has grown, and orders are increasing. Most importantly, I’ve become more confident in running this business and want to share my knowledge with other women,” said Iis Sadiyah, Pemilik Alfazza Farm and the winner of SisBerdaya 2025 Area 3 (Jabodetabek).

This year, SisBerdaya successfully attracted over 5,000 participants from three main regions (West, East, and Jabodetabek), a 176 percent increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, DisBerdaya recorded a fourfold growth compared to 2024, with over 100 enthusiastic female participants with disabilities joining the program. Participants from various regions, from Sumatra to Papua, went through a rigorous selection and judging process.

Rony Ukurta Barus, Head of the Financial Inclusion Directorate at the Financial Services Authority, stated, “SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya demonstrate that community-based empowerment approaches can create tangible and measurable impacts. Today’s winners are not only inspiring but also catalysts for change, proving that women entrepreneurs, including those from the disability community, play a strategic role in driving inclusive and sustainable national economic growth.”

At the event’s climax, SisBerdaya 2025 announced 6 Grand Prize Winners out of 30 Merit Winners, while DisBerdaya 2025 crowned 5 Grand Prize Winners. The winners were selected based on the quality of their business proposals, potential social impact, growth strategies, and the use of digital technology in their business operations. They are entitled to receive a total prize of 750 million rupiah to support business development, capacity building, and technology adoption in their respective businesses.

“The SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya 2025 awards are not merely a celebration and competition, but a crucial moment to recognize and continue supporting women-owned SMEs as an integral part of Indonesia’s economic growth. We all know that 64 percent of SMEs in Indonesia are managed by women. They work tirelessly from their kitchens or small shops in front of their homes, striving to support their families’ economic stability. Advancements in technology and easier access to digital investments should help bridge this gap,” said Vince Iswara, CEO and Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia.

“We are proud to partner with DANA for the third year of SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya. As a key pillar in our sustainability strategy, talent development is an important part of our approach to creating real-world impact for the community. These programs show that digitalizing businesses not only support livelihoods —it also builds confidence, creates new opportunities, and inspires other women across Indonesia. Together with our local partners, we will continue to drive inclusive growth for businesses of all sizes,” said Wilson Siahan, Senior Director, Government Affairs and Strategic Development for Indonesia at Ant International.

This year, SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya have expanded their impact across the country by reaching participants from three main regions: Area I (Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Java, excluding Jakarta), Area II (Sulawesi, Bali, NTT, NTB, Ambon, Papua), and Area III (Jabodetabek). With diverse business backgrounds, ranging from food, crafts, beauty, agriculture, to technology, the participants demonstrate that Indonesian women are ready to take the next step and lead economic transformation.

As an active platform supporting the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), DANA has assisted over 1 million business owners through its DANA Bisnis feature and collaborated with over 9,000 online store partners. A 2023 INDEF survey even noted that 98 percent of MSMEs using the DANA digital wallet have experienced tangible benefits in their daily business operations.
